Gwylfa is a traditional slate built three bedroom cottage in the quaint village of Llanybydder just a short walk from the idyllic river Teifi.

Property Details

Being newly renovated the property is insulated to a high level and is heated by a modern central heating system with radiators in every room.


There is also a wood-burning stove in the sitting room (first basket of logs provided).

Ground Floor:

Entrance Hall: Of a good size with stairs rising to the first floor, dining room to left and sitting room to right.

​

Dining Room: This comfortable space has many traditional original features. Traditional and modern country furnishings sit happily together in fusion. This room also leads off to the kitchen and has a stunning French oak dining table for four people.

Sitting Room: This snug large lounge has a bright bay window, a pair of squashy sofas, an upholstered Victorian armchair and a massive double door wood burner and fireplace. Flat-screen 32" DVD TV, DVD player and basic freeview channels. Antique fittings and furnishings.

Kitchen: A simple country kitchen with a door directly to the outside, a nice country feel and the usual appliances (dishwasher, double oven, microwave, washer, dryer, fridge / freezer etc).

First Floor:

Landing: An quirky double aspect landing allows you to access the three bedrooms and the master bathroom.

Master Bedroom: A good-sized room with equally good views to the front. A vintage iron bed with lovely artwork on the walls and a large double size reading armchair. Access to the master en-suite with toilet and shower.

Twin Bedroom: This smaller twin bedroom has pleasant views to the front and has two rustic and sturdy single beds.

​

Single Bedroom: This cosy room has views to the front and has a full-size single bed.


All bedrooms also have rustic hand made wooden shutters.

Main Bathroom: A large opulent bathroom with all new fittings. Views to the rear.

​

Outside: Rear patio and extensive gardens over three levels. Brick built outbuilding and garage. Ample parking for several vehicles.

Location

Gwylfa is located in the rural village of Llanybydder close to Lampeter where there are abundant local shops including Sainsburys, Co-op and fantastic local food and drink, plus an outstanding local butcher.

Llanybydder itself has many facilities right on the doorstep with two well-stocked shops, pubs, restaurants, bakery and take-aways. Everything you need is right on your doorstep, and the river Teifi runs through the village.

​

The stunning coast line is a picturesque short 25 minute drive away, so you have all the benefit of the seaside without the tourist hassle of actually living in the middle of it. Gwylfa really is a get away from it all destination.

Dogs

Well behaved dogs are allowed but only by prior discussion and vetting with the owners. No dogs to be left alone unattended under any circumstances.
