Follow the coast northward up to Machynlleth. My favourite fish 'n' chip shop is in New Quay and it’s a fantastic place to visit as is Aberaeron so do please stop and visit both. Aberystwyth is also on the way north and a great place to stock up on supplies. You will also pass by Borth which is a surfing and windsurfing mecca with a vast sea front and shingle beach.
